Books, Books, and More Books
Well, I'm back from the conference that I helped organize. It was a lot of work but well worth it. We had a hybrid conference: some speakers were in person and some were presented by video. I know that the new way of hosting conferences is by video but there's nothing like the ones in person. You get to speak with the speaker because they're approachable. You can buy books and boy, did I ever buy books. These are books that are genealogy-related, There are books on marriages indices that are not found in stores. There are books on historical places of interest. There are so many books that you don't know which ones to buy. Plus there are lots of networking opportunities that you can participate in. I don't know how many people told me they made a connection. One even made a connection to one of the speakers. Give me in-person conferences any day.
